Princess Sophie of the Netherlands was the youngest daughter of King Willem II and lived 200 years ago just around the corner of our restaurant. Therefore, it is no coincidence that our restaurant is named after the princess and is located on the ‘Sophialaan’. Princess Sophie was known as the wanderlust who at the same time loved peace and quiet. So she visited her old neighbourhood often. Princess Sophie was a lady full of contrasts and this diversity defines our kitchen! Follow in the princess’s footsteps and enjoy a ‘royal experience’ by booking a High Tea at Restaurant Sophia.

Indulge in unlimited tea from the exclusive The Hague tea shop Betjeman & Barton, classic sandwiches and homemade scones with jam and clotted cream. The variety of sweets and small seasonal amuse-bouches make this High Tea a truly luxurious experience.

You can enjoy this luxurious High Tea daily by reservation between 12:00 and 15:00.
